Entrepreneurs seek opportunities and fill needs for shared and personal gain. Entrepreneurs have high initiative and they can be very innovative.

The entrepreneur archetype looks for needs to fill, or practices extrospection, the second step of purposeful action.. In other respects, the entrepreneur archetype resembles other archetypes like the leader and manager. Entrepreneurs' actions are "outside-in." Entrepreneurs tend to target actions that bear fruits. Like leaders, entrepreneurs emphasize Phase I and Phase III of purposeful action, but they generally are more involved in Phase II than leaders. Entrepreneurs acquire power and influence by virtue of commitment and risk-taking.

The attributes of entrepreneurs in various aspects of action and in different circumstances are provided, along with extensive case studies of individuals leaders as well as organizations in the new book, “Purposeful Action: A New Framework for Leadership”

Play BrookMaster to find out if you are an entrepreneur archetype and how to transform to an archetype of your choice.
