Brook of Life Retreats blend all three aspects of life, body, mind and spirit, to provide a deeper understanding of self and to enhance the quality of your life’s journey. You will travel to a pleasant destination where you can explore and learn in an open, sharing and non-judgmental way, discovering new insights into what you always knew about yourself, your environment and our fellow travelers; insights that were previously masked by the frantic rush of your everyday life. The Eastern Vedic Sages call this the mask of Maya. You will acquire new knowledge about yourself as you remove this mask--through relaxation, meditation and fellowship in an open exchange of experiences, knowledge and ideas.
Most retreats are between five to seven days in length. In serene and exotic surroundings, seminars and discussions are integrated with introductory sessions of yoga, meditation and other alternative healing and health-enhancing modalities. Healthful meals and beverages are prepared and presented to delight, refresh and nourish. Guided as well as self-directed excursions and nature explorations form an important part of the total experience. Ample free time is provided for reflection, recreation and exploration of your personal interests.
Our programs are founded on the principle of purposeful action and the philosophy of life as a journey in the brook. The underlying theme is to transform stress into flow. The results expected are improved health, prosperity and happiness that you can sustain throughout your life, so you can return to your daily routines, refreshed and enlightened.
Retreat participants receive signed copies of "The Purpose and Meaning of Life" and “ The Brook of Life Workbook."
The next Brook of Life Retreat is planned for Selva Verde, Costa Rica in the Fall of 2007. You will be accompanied by Prem Chopra.
